Placing a Print Template
Select the Print Preparation tool from the Bentley Map Utilities toolbox. From this toolbox a list of templates are available from the pull down list. These are provided as examples with Bentley Map or added as custom templates by the administrator. Select the appropriate template from the list and press the blue arrow.
dialog (<Ctrl+T>) or from the icon on theThe toolbar on the Print Preparation dialog is used to select defaults, edit and update the list.
The interface shows the current viewport being placed, the scale and rotation. A specific rotation can be keyed in and locked, otherwise the rotation can be defined interactively with the mouse after selecting the placement point. If interactive rotation is selected then a second data point will accept the rotation or a reset will place the viewport unrotated.
The method for placement can be changed to any of the following options:
- View — Places a viewport that will be filled with a views contents at placement time.
- Range — Places a viewport that will be filled with the contents of a range block defined by the user at placement time.
- Shape — Places a viewport in the form of a rectangle or shape defined by the creator of the template.
- Tile — Places a viewport on a grid defined by the parameters in the dialog.
